How Russia Hacked America—And Why It Will Happen Again
During the 2016 presidential campaign, Russian hackers attacked the U.S. on two fronts: the psychological and the technical. Hackers used classic propaganda techniques to influence American voters, bought thousands of social media ads to propagate fake news, and broke into Democratic party email servers to steal information.
And it won't be the last time. Russian-backed psychological cyber warfare will only get better, and its methods more sophisticated.

Sea Grapes
A modern representation of the ancient struggle between obsession and responsibility based on the poem "Sea Grapes" by Nobel prize winner Derek Walcott.
Starring

DP Jake Bianco
"That sail which leans on light,
tired of islands,
a schooner beating up the Caribbean
for home, could be Odysseus,
home-bound on the Aegean;
that father and husband's
longing, under gnarled sour grapes, is
like the adulterer hearing Nausicaa's name
in every gull's outcry.
This brings nobody peace. The ancient war
between obsession and responsibility
will never finish and has been the same
for the sea-wanderer or the one on shore
now wriggling on his sandals to walk home,
since Troy sighed its last flame,
and the blind giant's boulder heaved the trough
from whose groundswell the great hexameters come
to the conclusions of exhausted surf.
The classics can console. But not enough"

Now That I've Found You
Made as a companion piece to Martin Garrix's 2015 music video, Now That I've Found You is a tone poem about a character's journey through loneliness and finding growth in solitude. It looks at the positive nature of loss, and the independence and freedom that can come from having all expectations for the future torn apart.

GALAXIES Vol. II: wonders of the winter night skies - 4K
As the days shorten and the darkness progressively eats away the light, an amazing transformation happens in the northern hemisphere skies. A lot of astronomers and stargazers prefer summertime to look up at the stars, probably because conditions are better and the brightest part of our own galaxy, the milky way is more visible, even with the naked eye. Although fainter, the ‘winter’ part of the milky way and the rest of the winter sky harbor countless unsuspected gems, if one knows how to find and capture them!
In the late Fall, you can still get a glimpse at the bright core of our galaxy sink down under the horizon just after sunset, along with its dark hydrogen gas lanes, Lagoon and trifid nebulae, and Saturn. Later, you can catch Scutum (shield constellation) and its dark nebulosity set in the south west/west. In the movie, this part is visible in many scenes but my favorite one is by far as it sets on La Palma shores behind a thunderstorm accompanied by red sprites, airglow and zodiacal lights. Then, take a peek at one of my favorite areas of the winter sky: the Swan constellation. I presented it to you (also on the cover), so that you can see it from different perspectives, but the best is probably at a narrower angle to show the beautiful magenta colors of the H-alpha emission nebulae (North-American, Pelican, Sadr region or IC 1396). I also included a scene where the ‘Summer Triangle’ of Cygnus (formed by Deneb, Sadr, Delta Cygni, and Gienah) is photobombed by an overhead aurora borealis. Continuing along the winter milky way, I included a shot of the Heart and Soul nebula. Rising on the other side of the hemisphere, we are now looking at the outer edge of our galaxy, where very little light comes from fewer stars, nebulae and dark clouds (in comparison to the core!). I wanted to show you a very novel scene combining the hot Pleiades stars reflecting their blue light onto passing gasses and the California nebula glowing blood red! The next area I want to emphasize is winter’s most emblematic: Orion. I wanted to maximize the different colors and brightness this constellation has to offer while shooting it in a series of single shots: the orange of Betelgeuse and the blue of Rigel, the gigantic red-glowing Barnard’s loop, the inevitable shell-like Orion nebula along with the running man nebula, the horse-head nebula, the flame nebula, Lambda Orionis nebula… Further away from the winter milky way doesn’t mean dull at all, au contraire! Look at the magnificent Andromeda galaxy (M31), the size of 6 full moons- rise above the tree line! What about the iconic Big Dipper being photobombed by some pillars of Icelandic and Canadian aurora borealis? What about these iridescent marbles at the very start of the video? Those are twinkling Sirius, Capella (bottom left) and Vega (upper right) emphasized by the real-time out-of-focus setting to reveal the hypnotic shift in light and colors of these twinkling stars created by our own atmosphere! You will probably miss a lot of night sky events if you only watch the video once! Don’t blink, you might miss a lot of meteors (Perseids, Orionids, Draconids, Leonids…), iridium flares, low-orbit satellites, red sprites. What about those satellites that seem to ‘follow’ each other in some deep-sky scenes? Those are geosynchronous satellites normally hovering over a fixed point of the Earth, but the motion of the star tracker allows them to move whereas the sky is now immobile. I am sure professionals and amateurs will spot many more features, all you have to do is sit back and gaze! The goal of this series of astro-lapses ‘Galaxies’ and especially this second opus was a way for me to push the limits of single astrophotography. However beautiful and numerous they are, wide-angle shots of the milky way moving against a foreground became less interesting to me as I got to shoot more and more astro-timelapses. I became more interested in exploring the possibilities that modern lenses, sensors and techniques could give, so I started using medium-format and astromodfication to take advantage of a wider light spectrum and show the red colors of H-alpha emission nebulae that are so ubiquitous in the winter part of the sky. I also wanted to improve the quality of the shots, so I used a square light pollution filter for shots at more than 50mm (Lonely Speck’s Pure Night LP filter), and a star tracker for some of the scenes to increase sharpness and details (Vixen Polarie). It was very important for me to prove that deep-sky time-lapses can be very interesting and successful, whether they hold a foreground or not, because so many things can be happening the sky (airglow, meteors, satellites, haze giving a temporary glow to the stars…). All shots have been recorded over the past year and in different countries (France, Switzerland, Spain, Iceland, Denmark and Canada). I will gladly give more details upon request. Thanks a lot for watching!

The Silence of Norway - Headphones recomended
Only in silence can we hear the song of nature. Natural silence is not the absence of sound from nature it is the absence of noise from modern life.
For the full experience find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. Headphones of good quality are highly recommended.
THE SILENCE PROJECT
This is the first episode in my silence project. Through a series of films I will present nature at its most natural. To fully capture the authentic atmosphere of the places I have combined the visuals with a detailed soundscape. No music or artificial sound effects have been used in this film project only the songs from nature’s own sound library. To make the experience as natural as possible both the audio and video are recorded in some of nature’s most undisturbed places.
This project was born out of love for the undisturbed places in nature. The goal of the project is to share the wonders of nature with as many people as possible and thereby ensuring its protection and enjoyment for generations to come. I plan to accomplish this goal through stunning short films with breathtaking video and audio.
SILENT LISTENING
The nature is busy communicating and in places without noise pollution we can listen to the nature at its most natural. Listening is not about trying to hear the sounds that you believe are important. Instead simply listening to the place without comparing sounds to what is already known. If we silent listen to nature in undisturbed places without prejudices we can experience the big diversity of nature and the faintest sounds gain their original importance in the soundscape.
Humans developed in a world where only the sounds of nature filled the air. Our ears are evolved to hear these often soft and information rich ambiences which help us experience our surroundings. But in our noisy urban environment our hearing is continuously being overloaded and thus we have learned to experience our surroundings through our vision. Even when we visit a silent place in nature we try to experience the place through our vision instead of listening to the place. Vision is focused in one direction at the time and is excellent when it comes to focusing our attention on a given event. But vision is very limiting when it comes to capturing the full image of a given place. Therefore hearing and not vision is the preferred sense in nature. The full image of a given place does not only expand in every direction around us but it expands for far distances behind visual objects that block the view but do not block the sounds. In a silent environment sound can travel far distances and can easily travel around objects. Further, it is often difficult to get visual contacts with wildlife but nothing escapes our hearing if we listen in silence.
There are many benefits of experiencing silence in nature. Natural silence is relaxing, reduce stress and increase overall productivity. Conversely, noise pollution cause stress, increase risk of cardio-vascular disease and has a negatively impact on overall productivity. When we live more quiet lives, we become healthier, more relaxed, and better able to listen to others and the world around us.
The industrial revolution and population growth has unleashed an epidemic of noise pollution that has made natural silence one of our fastest-disappearing resources. It is my goal that these films will raise the audience’s awareness to the importance of silence. I hope to bring the experience of natural silence to the audience and encourage an interest in saving the undisturbed places in nature. We need to learn how to listen again to fully appreciate nature’s whispers.
GRATEFUL LIVING
In our stressful society we so seldom find the time to relax and regenerate. Use these films as an escape from a stressful and noisy environment. Here you will experience natural silence and wide relaxing spaces in nature.
We strive through life for status and recognition, and we attach ourselves to material things in the belief that they will make us happy. I believe that it is only when we free ourselves from this pursuit of external satisfying that we can displace the inner emptiness and create lasting happiness and tranquility in our stressed minds.
In fact, it is only our idea about that something is missing that prevents us from being happy. Happiness comes from being grateful for our situation and for all the things we already have. It is when we can rejoice together with others, that life makes sense, and true happiness arises. Happiness is not a destination; it is a process - a wonderful journey.
Nature's beauty can be so easily missed. It is my hope that these films will contribute to a deeper understanding and gratitude of the natural wonders in our world and to the preservation of our fragile environment in the future.

CP COMPANY – EYES ON THE CITY |LONDON – DARWEN|
Sportswear hero, designer and collector, Gary Aspden embodies the British culture of the Eighties and Nineties.
From the hardened cities of northern England to the very heart of the UK capital, Gary describes his journey across the Country and the casual culture between different generations.
C.P. Company is, for sure, one of the iconic brand that defined what people call casual today. But as Gary quotes in the film, "there was nothing ‘casual' about it".
There's an old British saying that goes, "clothes make the man". In this case, clothes helped shaping an entire culture, which still resonates loud today. Much more than any trend, much more than fashion.

The crowd is his element, as the air is that of birds and water of fishes. His passion and his profession are to become one flesh with the crowd. [...] To be away from home and yet to feel oneself everywhere at home; to see the world, to be at the centre of the world, and yet to remain hidden from the world—impartial natures which the tongue can but clumsily define. The spectator is a prince who everywhere rejoices in his incognito." (Charles Baudelaire).
This condition allowed Will to walk the streets with no apparent purpose, but secretly aware of the history of the places where he passed and the possibility of aesthetic adventures that every detail of the city - his architecture - represents. In the era of Liquid Modernity, Will moves over his skating across the metropolis like a fish in a river, ignoring divisions and barriers, taking forms, occupying spaces, diluting certainties, beliefs and practices.
"If a tree falls in the forest and no one is near to hear, does it make any noise?" This is a fundamental question for a philosophical and mental experiment that raises doubts about observation and knowledge of reality.
If Will was not realized this work would exist? It is in this context that Filipe Zapelini becomes essential - without his gaze "the essence of this reality would not have been perceived by reason."

What happens when you stop believing in yourself and things you enjoy the most like making films of the places you see and experiences you have?
Pick up a camera maybe with a few added gizmos, go somewhere special like Barcelona, capture those special moments, piece them together with some nice music, then share and your belief might just come back.

TWENTY FIFTY | The Race to Save Our Coral Reefs
If we ever needed a clear indicator of the human impact on the earth, take a look at a bleached coral reef, and witness the tragic shift from vibrant, blooming colour to a skeletal white husk.
I wanted to make 2050 to highlight what was happening, the work people are doing to slow the damage and fundamentally why coral reefs are so important.
The expression ‘out of sight, out of mind’ keeps popping into my head, and I feel that keeping this conversation going maybe helps in some small way to keep coral reefs stay in the public ‘sight’. Otherwise by 2050, we might find ourselves in a place from which there is no going back.

Now That I've Found You
Made as a companion piece to Martin Garrix's 2015 music video, Now That I've Found You is a tone piece about a character's journey into facing loneliness and finding growth in solitude. It looks at the positive nature of loss, and the independence and freedom that can come from having all expectations for the future torn apart.

BEATRICE

Winter's Watch
Located ten miles off the coast of mainland New England, the Oceanic Hotel is the grand, yet far-from-modern home to the thousands of guests who brave the choppy seas to visit during the warmer spring and summer months. Off-season, the hotel and the 43-acre Star Island on which it sits is home to one woman – its winter caretaker who braves the colder, darker months of inclement weather by embracing the solitude and finding inspiration, and life, in what would otherwise be considered the ‘bones’ of winter.

THE INTERNAL CONVERSATION
"Lost in the internal conversation. Questioning it, who you are." - Exploring the struggles, however large or small, everyone has with their own mind: discovering your darkness and your light.

Original Music: Oliver Dowie
Talent/Voice: Issy Knowles

Special Thanks to:

Words inspired by a quote from Najwa Zebian ―
“These mountains that you are carrying, you were only supposed to climb.”
――――――
Our minds can be the biggest burdens,
We carry them like the highest peaks.
The best of us fall victim to the incessant battle of ourselves.
Lost in The Internal Conversation.
Questioning it, who you are.
Crowded by our insecurities,
We find ourselves in never-ending spaces,
Lost in the maze of our minds.
Fighting this emptiness,
The once clear path to who you could be becomes clouded. And this imposter makes you blind.
But, along the way, you see beauty in the frustration of it all.
Discovering things you may never have found.
And somehow, you reach the end of the abyss.
You realise that you’re the one to fight your own demons.
You know your own darkness,
And your light.
And these peaks, they were only meant to be conquered.
