TWENTY FIFTY | The Race to Save Our Coral Reefs

If we ever needed a clear indicator of the human impact on the earth, take a look at a bleached coral reef, and witness the tragic shift from vibrant, blooming colour to a skeletal white husk.

I wanted to make 2050 to highlight what was happening, the work people are doing to slow the damage and fundamentally why coral reefs are so important.

The expression ‘out of sight, out of mind’ keeps popping into my head, and I feel that keeping this conversation going maybe helps in some small way to keep coral reefs stay in the public ‘sight’. Otherwise by 2050, we might find ourselves in a place from which there is no going back.
