Self-taught filmmaker Yoni Lappin presents an extended cut of a film previously commissioned for our Scenes series. In this version, the London-based director presents a raw, philosophical journal charting the myriad experiences of growing up in modern Israel, profiling the diverse scenes and subcultures that exist across the region—from punk skate collectives to traditional prayer groups. “The country is a complex place with so many different viewpoints and interpretations,” Lappin explains. “I felt this was a story I needed to tell, to capture something honest."
