Trapped inside a harsh reality, Nininho dreams of better days.
At 68 years old and living below the poverty line in Brazil, Vitor “Nininho” Queranza sits among the world’s best marathon runners. This short film is a tribute to his life, struggles and will to win, and a reflexion on suffering, solitude and failure, as it follows Nininho on the Boston Marathon in 2018, a game changer event on his career.
Hoping to achieve what he so longed waited for - to become a professional athlete - Nininho wonders about what victory actually means.
Shot in Mococa, Brazil and Boston, USA. 2018.
