This is the second part of my HyperJourney series. The aim of this series is to provide context through emotion in a cinematic medium. My passion is travel filmmaking and this series is the start of my journey.

For this trip I enlisted a crew of the best storytellers to journey through the intellectually intricate country of Japan for 4 minutes. Over 3 weeks we sped around Tokyo in real life Mario Karts, fed bowing deer in Nara Park, snowboarded the mountains of Hakuba, kept quiet around the peaceful Nagano snow monkeys, drank too much sake and regretted it, belted karaoke tunes til they kicked us out, were put in a state of historical disbelief in the midst of Hiroshima park and many more culturally fuelled adventures.
I'd be naive to say that I could capture the essence of an entire country in under five minutes. Through this piece I tried to link faces, stories, sounds, prayers, voices, expressions, landscapes and more to create what I call a visual HyperJourney. Thank you to the people we met, laughed with, ate with, learned from, and celebrated with; you made us feel welcome.
