Last year I came across Anna's instagram account where she often posts random iphone videos of improvised dance routines. I could immediately tell how unique her skillset was and so I reached out to her about shooting a dance video. After a couple of conversations we both agreed that we didn't want to make "just another dance video". So recently I had some downtime in between shoots in New York City and we decided to just go for it. During our interview Anna used a metaphor about knowing the streets of your hometown as an analogy for how well she knows her body. It was incredible to see that deep awareness and understanding of her entire body play out on camera.
