Thanks to the Fairchild family, Dewees Island Property Owners Association, and all of the incredible residents and employees of the island for their help in creating this video!
Dewees is a special place. You take a ferry to get there, and once you arrive you're exploring on foot or via golf-cart. It's incredibly peaceful and rejuvenates the soul every time we go.
Since this video was cut together from footage shot for previous Dewees videos in previous years, it contains footage from three different generations of the Panasonic Lumix cameras. It was shot on the GH2, GH3, and GH4. In a way, it is a tribute to the quality of these cameras.
The aerials were shot from a Freefly Cinestar and a Vulcan - powered by MaxAmps batteries and Hoverfly Pro.
We used the new Zacuto shoulder rig for some shots - great setup! We also used our buttery smooth O'Connor tripod head. Our Freefly Movi M5 also came in handy. Lenses were a mix of Zeiss, Lumix, and Olympus. A Speedbooster lens adapter was used in some cases. The Nori SquareBounce came in very handy on several shots. And we supplemented some daylight with some rented Ikan LED panels. Our rental houses of choice are Aperturent and PC&E in Atlanta.
It was quite an adventure filming this project. Dewees Island, SC is truly a natural beauty. We hope to return again!
