In the mountain resort of Chengde; there is a Qing Dynasty summer residence, built between 1703 and 1792. It is a vast complex of administrative and ceremonial buildings, located in Hebei province, China. The imperial gardens and various temples of different architectural styles blend harmoniously in a landscape of lakes, meadows and forests.
