No where else in the United States is the concentration of National Parks and National Monuments higher than in the Southwest. Its so-called Colorado Plateau features many breath-taking sceneries such as the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley which have defined what decades of moviegoers think of when they imagine the American (Wild) West.
For many years it was a heartfelt wish of mine to once go to "Red Rock Country" and explore this region. Late fall 2016 we finally made it and spent 18 days crossing Nevada, Arizona, Utha, Colorado and New Mexico. And we often couldn‘t believe our eyes...
