“the wonderful kingdom on earth”
This film is the first based on the idea of making short films, longer films, with the potential to be able to transmit better, stories, messages, plots that we may want to share through this magic called cinema.
The filming and editing and repeated site visits, in the various seasons of the year, took several months of 2016 and the first months of 2017, that were fully occupied in preparing the final version.

"The wonderful kingdom of the land" is a fictional film about the lands of northern Portugal, which have no secure geographical borders. They extend beyond time, beyond imaginary. A good part of the authenticity lives there, in each house traveled, in the paths covered by solitude and isolation. It is also a world to end.
The title is an adaptation of the expression "a wonderful kingdom" by Miguel Torga, one of the most influential Portuguese poets and writers of the twentieth century, who sought identity and roots in man's alliance with the earth.

Este filme é o primeiro baseado numa ideia de fazer curtas metragens, filmes mais longos, com o potencial de poderem transmitir melhor, histórias, mensagens, tramas, que possamos querer partilhar através desta magia que se chama cinema.
As filmagens e a edição e as repetidas deslocações aos locais, nas várias estações do ano, levaram vários meses de 2016 bem como os primeiros meses de 2017 que foram totalmente ocupados na preparação da versão final.

“O maravilhoso reino da terra” é um filme de ficção sobre as terras do norte de Portugal, que não têm fronteiras geográficas seguras. Estendem-se para lá dos tempos, para lá do imaginário. Uma boa parte da autenticidade vive lá, em cada casa percorrida, nos caminhos percorridos da solidão e isolamento. É também um mundo a terminar.
O título é uma adaptação da expressão “um reino maravilhoso” de Miguel Torga, um dos mais influentes poetas e escritores portugueses do século XX, que procurou a identidade e as raízes, na aliança do homem com a terra.
