NOW & THEN

This is a film portraying the easily forgotten dangers of neglecting the warning signs of fascism’s rise, the dangers of choosing bigotry over love. Let us all hope to avert the dystopianism of history in our shared future.

The idea sprang from two related questions:

a) Just how short is our collective memory?
b) How many reminders do we need to rectify lessons unlearned?

The current divide in the United States demands that we invigorate and share our morality.
Authority without consent requires broken silence.

Intolerance is weakness.
Cruelty…impotence.

Let’s laugh at the absurdity of bigotry and take away its power.
Let’s watch as our love dissolves the sincerity of ignorance.

All of us, left and right, have within us our share of good and bad.
Let's be humbled and brought closer together by recognizing our shared imperfections.

The threats to the United States are not from outside but from within.

Disappointed? Naturally.
Losing hope? Never.
