This years harvest has been a tough one, I doubt many people could except this and continue farming with the challenges it faces but then farmers are very special and so in the words of a true farmer.
‘It's gone through quite a hard time over the last few years but then farming does that. I have been involved in farming all my life really and you get highs and lows of the job altogether. The commodities prices are very low at the moment but the input costs are still very high and so you struggle to make much of a profit and it's very hard work for not the return that farmers should get’.

Sadly, the beautiful combine harvester that features throughout this film was deliberately set on fire by arsonists a few weeks after this harvest took place destroying the livelihood of Tony, my very good and dear farmer friend. I'm sure in true farmer spirit he will bounce back and so we look forward to Golden Harvest 2017.
