A stroll along the Seine that reached its highest level in three decades, peaking above 6 meters on last Friday.
Many tourists and Parisians gathered along the river to peer at this rare phenomenon, observe the flooded roads, the bouncing houseboats and the quiet river as traffic was halted because there was no more room for boats to fit under bridges.
