While spending the year studying abroad in Sweden, my friends and I set aside a week in March to travel to Iceland and explore the country by car. The landscapes were astounding, the conversations inspiring, and overall experience a reminder of the basics of life: appreciating what exists, exploring companionship, and finding joy in things both phenomenal and ordinary. The trip amounted to one of the most extraordinary travels I have been on since being abroad, and no doubt one of the most memorable experiences of my life.
