When I wrote Pop Song, I was in a place where my ears were tired of hearing the same three chords. Where my eyes were tired from reading headlines like “Feud between [insert any chick pop singer here] and Katy Perry continues." I work a lot of my frustration out in music - and because it’s such an honest and centering place for me, what often starts as negativity almost always ends up being something positive. And I figured out a looooong time ago that if you approach any passion with the mentality that you’ll capitalize on it, you won’t find what you’re looking for. That’s how Pop Song came to fruition. There’s so many things that you’ll want in life, that you’ll wish for - but love tops my list. I don’t care about money and fame, I want love. Love in people. Love in what you do. Because it’s true. Because I believe in it.

I could’ve written a screamo song with lots of fucks. But I find much more joy in comedy and being positive. You’ve got your own shit to deal with, yo - let me make you smile for awhile:). And what better way to make you smile than to watch a bunch of Donald Trumps being douchey [normal] and looking like idiots?
