scherzo in b flat minor, no. 2, opus 31, frederic chopin

This is perhaps one of the most flamboyant examples of classical pianism, so welcome to my coming out party as a soloist. This Chopin scherzo is all over the place, buckle up!

This is dedicated to all of my fellow Vimians, who have supported my filmmaking. I'm sharing with you my "real" vocation as a pianist, and the music that I play for myself. Now I'm sharing it with the world.

Filmed with a Canon 5D Mark iii, and a Rokinon 35mm Cine lens. I recorded with audio with a simple binaural mic with Logic Studio, Final Cut X for editing. I avoided all effects in either audio or video for the sake of clarity and posterity. The footage is color balanced and that's it.

I have to admit it's nerve wracking, and a real challenge of concentration to handle the camera, move it between takes, man the audio, and wait for the train to pass by, etc etc... and oh yeah: play the damn piece. :)
