The road from Ayacucho to Cusco passes through nearly 600km of Peru's most winding, hilly terrain -- climbing up through the clouds toward snow-capped peaks, then diving down into warm, lush river valleys. The journey is a two day trek into remotely-populated, rarely-visited, breathtakingly-beautiful landscapes.
