Director's statement:
Upon returning to his childhood home, a Man from the future meets an Angel of Truth, who forces him to realize that his past is just a flimsy facade. As the old reality strips away, the Man struggles to control memories that have grown into monstrous waves of information that consume him.
The concept is inspired by today's obsession with virtual reality, so for the video we used recent technology that captures and processes the world beyond just traditional photography. We used a Kinect to make a depth capture of Eliot's face as he sings to create a moving 3D mask. We used elevation maps and satellite photos of the Earth to re-create some of the landscapes. These were processed and altered in a 3D graphics program and then combined with the live-action footage and the drone helicopter shots of the suburbs.
