Music by Ólafur Arnalds - So Close (feat. Arnór Dan)
All these time lapse sequences have been made in France. Shots of Le Mont Saint-Michel and Paris (Place de la Concorde, Cathédrale Notre-Dame, Arc de Triomphe, Tour Eiffel) are native 8K resolution from a Nikon D800E.
These 8K time lapse shots have been commissioned by NHK Japan for promoting 8K technologies during 2015 CES in Las Vegas.
It was an unique chance to access and shoot places like la Rosace Occidentale or the mass of the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, the Eiffel tower's third floor or the Arc de Triomphe. It was also challenging because these shots were "one chance" sequence as they were planned with no other opportunity to shoot and despite weather conditions. Last challenge about 8K was to bring 10 seconds time lapse sequences at 60 frames per second, which was a huge amount of data.
All others shots are standards 4K from a Canon 5D MKII.
