Scattered among the sumptuous scenery of Oxfordshire's Blenheim Palace are bolts of shocking blue: the tell-tale signature of French artist Yves Klein's lifetime obsession with a remarkable hue that he himself mixed and owned. From pure color-fields to coated objects and paintings, this powerful pigment contrasts creatively with the array of deep, rich, and glittering colors within the landmark property which has, as the Blenheim Art Foundation, exhibited work by the likes of Ai Wei Wei, Jenny Holzer, and Michelangelo Pistoletto.

Produced in collaboration with the Yves Klein Archives, the exhibition coincides with what would have been the artist's ninetieth birthday year. Combining archive footage and exhibition shots, the film—shot by Mike Nybroe—takes us on a deep dive into the ultramarine world of one of the twentieth century's most iconic artists, and is scored by Klein's own Monotone-Silence Symphony.

Rapping unicorns? A dinosaur inventor? A marshmallow avalanche? Experience a new fairy tale from the imaginative world of Leroy’s Place. Built entirely from cardboard and other recycled materials, this endearing short film in puppetry tells a story of overcoming bullying. In a world where dinosaurs eat unicorns for every meal, Delux the dino refuses to eat the magical creatures and sets out to befriend them instead. When the inquisitive dinosaur happens upon some musical unicorns in Marshmallow Mountain, they aren’t as friendly as he expects. It’s not always easy to make new friends, especially when they think you are going to eat them, but Delux uses his unique skills to make the sassy unicorns take a second look. This film is intended for all ages.

During a climbing trip to Turkey, on a routine day, professional climber Rannveig Aamodt made a small mistake that almost cost her her life. A quick lapse of judgment resulted in a fifty foot fall. Straight down.

Emergency crews evacuated Rannveig by helicopter with fractures to her back, pelvis, both ankles, and countless other injuries; both physically and emotionally.

According to the doctors, she would never properly walk again, and her future surely was not going to involve climbing.

Armed with hope, determination, and a beautiful perspective on life, Rannveig redirected the trajectory of her story.

She proved that her reaction to her situation dictated the course of her future.

For this trip I enlisted a crew of the best storytellers to journey through the intellectually intricate country of Japan for 4 minutes. Over 3 weeks we sped around Tokyo in real life Mario Karts, fed bowing deer in Nara Park, snowboarded the mountains of Hakuba, kept quiet around the peaceful Nagano snow monkeys, drank too much sake and regretted it, belted karaoke tunes til they kicked us out, were put in a state of historical disbelief in the midst of Hiroshima park and many more culturally fuelled adventures.

I took this trip to Italy with a good filmmaking friend of mine to capture the beautiful scenes of Lake Como. After spending a night in Bellagio on the lake I was sold that this was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been too. I stayed for a couple weeks and travelled around northern Italy and the lakes, shot a beautiful wedding in Lecco, hiked up mountain sides, bowed my head in ancient cathedrals, and embraced life living on the water.

This video is a collective narrative that pieces together faces, stories, sounds, prayers, voices, expressions, landscapes and more to create what I call a visual HyperJourney. Thank you to the people we met, laughed with, ate with, learned from, and celebrated with; you made us feel welcome.

"Mijn tijd" ("My time") is a visualisation of my journey as a timelapse/hyperlapse photographer.

I shot my first timelapse in 2012. Since then, I've shot a lot of timelapses - mostly for personal use but occasionally on assignment as well. Some of that material showed up in my previous films, but a lot sat in my archive unused. "Mijn tijd" gave me the opportunity to go through my entire collection and re-watch and re-edit the clips that best represent me as a timelapse and hyperlapse photographer.

Some 27,000 photos and video later, taking some time to reflect on documenting this year’s eruption has truly helped to process a lot of the intense range of emotions felt throughout 100 days of volcanic photojournalism. It is difficult to describe how it felt like to be led by something beyond the forces of our human existence. It was the unseen that kept all of us safe when approaching harm’s way. I believe it was the same unseen presence that brought our community together in a way that would have never bonded had it not been for something so incredibly incomprehensible. This short documentary captures the first hour of Day 1, till my last remaining overflights on Day 100, observing massive geological change.

My respect and best wishes go out to the neighborhood of Leilani Estates, Lanipuna Gardens, and the areas within and between Kapoho. My heart also goes out to California as fires continue to violently change the lives of many.

Madame Pele’s most recent period of high activity has affected people across Hawai‘i Island, in many cases with devastating effects on lives and well-being. While we do not lose sight of these effects, and we do what we can to help our ‘ohana, the fact remains—and perhaps it’s a bit uncomfortable to recognize—that the 2018 eruption of Kīlauea has produced some of the most visually beautiful content of our planet in a transition both destructive and creative.

One of Hawai‘i’s leading photographer/videographers has put together a breathtaking documentary, a highlighting the Kīlauea fissure eruption from the first hour of Day One. Andrew shares his personal experiences throughout the eruptive events; how his visual media were able to help families, communities, and government agencies; and the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to record 27,000 detailed photographs of a most significant geological event in Hawai‘i Island’s history.

“I don’t want to feel like it’s only me. I know it’s not only me, because there are others out there…”

‘I Don’t Protest, I Just Dance In My Shadow’ is a short visual essay film by artist animator, Jessica Ashman, about navigating the visual art and animation world as a black face in a white space.

Using animation and recorded interviews of eight other women of colour artists, ‘I Don’t Protest, I Just Dance In My Shadow’ is an abstract confessional from the director herself: a visualisation of the joy, frustration, wishes and dreams of what it feels like to be a black women and a woman of colour artist, creating and existing.

Developed by Animate Projects and funded by Arts Council England, 'I Don't Protest, I Just Dance In My Shadow' also screened as part of a 10 day installation at the Four Corners Gallery, June 2017, designed by Jessica. The installation was created to accompany the film and showcased in depth the artists interviewed and experimental abstracts from the film-making process.

Pyongyang is by far the weirdest and strangest place I have ever been to. At the same time it's also one of the the most interesting and intriguing places and unlike anywere else I have ever been to. You go there with 100 questions and you return with 1000!

While I have no support for the government there, many things could be said at this point about North Korea, but I really do not want to get involved in politics here, so please do your own research.

Pyongyang is by far the weirdest and strangest place I have ever been to. At the same time it's also one of the the most interesting and intriguing places and unlike anywere else I have ever been to. You go there with 100 questions and you return with 1000!

While I have no support for the government there, many things could be said at this point about North Korea, but I really do not want to get involved in politics here, so please do your own research.
