The video for ‘Millionaire’ was shot documentary-style at a county fair in Forsyth County, GA. The need for instant gratification is a very American, western-world thing. No matter the mental or physical cost, entertainment is always readily available. But funny enough, inside this huge funfair of rides and games, a lot of the people there didn’t look entertained at all.

The impetus for "WORLD WAY: The City of LAX" was born in 2013 as I sat on a rooftop in El Segundo, waiting for a shoot to begin and looking out over LA. The incoming planes looked like a highway, evenly spaced and spread across multiple lanes. This led my eye to the end of their path - LAX. I realized I had a fully unobstructed view of the airport, and immediately started capturing timelapses of it. I became fascinated with the many layers of movement that were visible - planes taking off and landing, planes taxiing, ground support equipment moving on the ramp and throughout the airport, passenger vehicles on World Way, passengers on foot outside and inside the airport - all moving at their own unique pace. It made me realize that LAX is a city unto itself, with so many moving pieces and individual people all doing their part to keep it moving. Despite its struggles, it is a logistical and modern marvel. I wanted to show it in a way it had never been seen.
In 2016, I was able to bring this project to life with help from the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board, Los Angeles World Airports, and a group of talented shooters. We set out to capture these layers of movement in a way that cannot be seen with the naked eye, and from vantage points that few get to experience. It's been a long journey from then until now, but was very much worth it. Getting to experience every aspect of LAX as a non-traveler, and having the opportunity to work with so many people who help keep it operating has given me a new perspective on this place.

Moon time lapse Mont Blanc compilation
Moon time lapse sequences taken since the first attempt to have the moon climbing the aiguille verte. For such Moon time lapse, a lot of preparation... After the first Moon time lapse over the Aiguille du gouter, the challenge was to have the moon rising along the the edge of the Mont Blanc peaks. To find the position in order to shoot a Moon time lapse needs to simulate positions... 30 meters away and the moon will not rise the edge . Another keypoint for a Moonrise time lapse is about the right balance between the exposure for the Moon and the landscape... So only a few days to have such an opportunity, 1 or 2 days a year for specific Moon time lapse.
Then to have the weather conditions enabling to shoot the Moon time lapse. Time to time, the clouds bring some nice Moon time lapse effects. Another challenge for the Moon time lapse is the way to capture this climbing moon, instead of a static shooting, some sequences ( especially with long focal length ) are realized with the DSLR on a mount allowing to follow the moon along the edge. Last keypoint, in order to well balance the realization, is to use many different focal length.
So as for climbers, many failed or postponed attempts to succeed this succession of mythical peaks in the Mont Blanc massif, climbed by the Moon ... As for climbers I improved my technique to try to have more and more accurate framing...
Moon time lapse directed by Dominique Joubert, with the following gear along the 3 last years: 2 Canon 6D with 300mm F4 Canon, 500mm F4.5 Sigma + Sigma 2X extender , 1.4 extender ,Sigma 50mm F1.4 , Samyang 85 mm 1.4 ,Star adventurer Mini Mount, Ioptron equatorial mount.
