November 2016 - As protests at the Dakota Access Pipeline became increasingly heated, images of burning cars and masked men were spattered across mainstream media networks. However, behind the headline, a pure and singular spiritual camp was committing itself in prayer to save the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe’s only water supply.
“Hope Inside the Fire” is a testament to the power of the Natives Americans’ peaceful prayer, that was not covered by other outlets. It is an exploration of the humble act of looking to something bigger than oneself to change circumstance and the struggle of faith that inherently carries: forgiving when hurt, doing good in the face of evil and showing love to an enemy.

The Music Video for Baltazar’s Lluvia addresses the pressure that the indifference of the world can have on one person, it’s bigotry depicted by a town and a father showing the repercussions that their actions cause on a romantic relationship. A woman is sentenced to death because her beliefs and sexual orientation do not align with those of society and the different institutions that compose it. Hate and lack of compassion come together to take away the light between two women, between two humans and destroy real love.

An audiovisual piece made up of over four thousand still images pulled from Google Earth, individually edited, and then manually sequenced to Midnight by Caravan Palace.
The film showcases instances of environmental innovation and degradation from around the world: housing developments in Denmark designed to promote increased community, sites of deforestation in the Amazon due to cattle ranching, and the Namib desert in Namibia whose biodiversity has some of the highest levels of endemism.

Real Tilt & Shift Time Lapse with 24 mm Rokinon T-S 3.5 Lens. Since this effect is achieved easily and to often using software (fake tilt-shift) I found this more challenging with actual T-S Lens. It took me really long time to collect sequences (some dated January 2016), requiring higher elevation. Every now and then I was able to shoot from high-rises and finally gathered enough interesting time lapses to edit miniaturized Windy City.
