Deepness of the Fry is an absurd existential crisis disguised as a collage film. Living in a world where everything’s already been said, felt, and done before, can anyone truly be unique?
And is thinking about this too much really a good idea?

Ethiopia - November 2015.
Follow my travel memories: memoriasdeoriente.blogspot.com
It was my first time in Africa and the experience was beyond my expectations. I was marveled by the beauty of this country, by the breathtaking landscapes of the Simien mountain, by the smiles of the kids on every village we stopped, the magnificent medieval castle of Gondar, by the bustling streets of the holy muslim city of Harar, the impressive Blue Nile waterfalls and the old monasteries around the lake of Bahar Dar, the delicious coffee and the unique ritual to prepare it, the monumental buildings carved in rock in the ancient city of Lalibela and view of the devotees dressed in white ropes praying during the sunrise, the churches on top of the cliffs of Tigray and the unforgettable tour to the wilderness of the Danakil depression, territory of the Affar people with the martian landscapes of the sulfur lake, the endless mirror of the salt lakes and the fascinating Erta Ale volcano. Ethiopia was like nothing I've ever seen and that journey resulted in one of the greatest adventures of my life.
I hope you enjoy the video and hopefully dare to explore this beautiful country, I can guarantee you won't be disappointed. I want to thank everyone I meet in the road who made this journey even more memorable.

NEPAL- Oct 2016.
Follow my travel memories: memoriasdeoriente.blogspot.com
What started as joke during a summer night ended in one of the greatest adventures of my life. Now at home, looking back to these past weeks in Nepal I realize this has been one of the best trips I ever experienced. I've been marveled by the beauty of the Himalayas, by the kindness of the Nepalese people and by the fascinating Hindu and Buddhist culture, but the best part is I could share all these experiences with one of my best friends. We leave behind too much laughing and good memories!
We visited Kathamandu and it's surrounding including Patan, Bhaktapur, Kirtipur, Pharping,.. Pokhara, Chitwan National Park and a trek in the Annapurnas. The 4 days trek was not very challenging but reaching the 3100m viewpoint of the Poon Hill at dawn, after both being ill for two days and surrounded by all the Annapurna mountains, it was truly rewarding and unforgettable experience.
Shot with the Sony a7R II and Leica summilux 35mm.

Add two parts Haitian spirit to one part Canadian pride, fry off garlic and diced tomatoes. Sprinkle family and friends to taste….
Montréal-born photographer Xavier Girard Lachaîne makes his directorial debut in a film revealing food as the umbilical cord connecting the Haitian community in his home city to their cultural roots in the Caribbean.
The protagonists of the fledgling director’s project are the parents of High Klassified, Shash’U and Yung Gayance—three Haitian Canadian music producers and creators shaking up Montréal's sound. Lachaîne explains: “the young, creative music scene of my generation is a melting pot, a result of the clash of past and present cultures, immigration and adaptation. I feel that we are witnessing the birth of a new wave of beautiful creators with whom I grew up.”
This film knits home recordings and interviews together in a way that makes Haitian aesthetics a pressure cooker of church mass, dance, and close-ups of steaming food and jumbled hands. In Montréal Haitian homes, nostalgia resides on the tip of the tongue—with cooking that has all the aromas of ancestral lands and zest of spirit.
Working with cinematographer Ménad Kesraoui under the collaborative name Duo Necki Tera, Lachaîne takes a full-flavored look at the histories and dinners of Haitian households that have enriched Canada and fueled the creativity of naturalised or second-generation Canadians.
As reflected in the creole saying "remember the rain that made your corn grow"—from which the project takes its title—Xavier says, “My work focuses on cultural identity and the confrontation between who you think you are and where you are from.”

Ice & Palms [Eis & Palmen] - Bikepacking across the alps and skiing iconic mountains along the way - no motor allowed!
The documentary follows skiers Jochen Mesle and Max Kroneck on their most ambitious ski tour yet. A 100% self powered adventure from southern Germany all the way to the mediterranean sea.
The two friends have traveled the world for many mountainous adventures, but while skiing in distant locations this idea grew in their minds: a ski expedition that starts right on their own doorsteps. Six weeks, 1.800 km, 35.000 vertical meters and a dream come true. After pedaling and skiing through Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and France, they reached the beach in Nice in early June 2018. The movie premiered at St. Anton Filmfest in August 2018.

Non-narrative pixilation of the Czech landscape. Short film by Vojtěch Domlátil, 2017.
An observer, who clears his mind and reduces the number of his means only to work with time and space, not only reaches certain pixilation ecstasy, but also if he joins "the wave", his way absorbs him completely.

Alka Pradhan, James Connell and Sterling Thomas are lawyers for Ammar al-Baluchi, one of the five men facing the death penalty for plotting the 2001 terrorist attacks in New York.
The Trial provides a window into the build-up to the largest criminal trial in US history and reflects on the impact of a rarely seen part of the war on terror: the lack of accountability for the legacy of torture

When two friends meet up for lunch in Hollywood, their obsession with fame and a series of violent mishaps sets them on the run from the police. A struggling actor, a delusional director, a sadistic talent agent, and a veteran cop all collide in this biting satire of millennial culture and life in the City of Angels. Buckle up… this ego trip is a one-way ticket.

The theme is the cold Icelandic winter in contrast with the warmth coming from the volcanic areas in Iceland.
This short video was captured with Mavic 2 Pro on a very cold but beautiful winter day in the north of Iceland. With all the geothermal water and volcanos, the steam it produces makes the winter in Iceland special. Mývatn lake does not even freeze when the tempature goes to -18 C like on that day. Hope you enjoy this video. I used D-LogM and only used the DJI LUT for M2P to colour correct. Music by the great Adi Goldstein AGsoundtrax.com

My good friend Mesh and I used parkour as the main focus in this film to bring light to a very important issue - knife crime in the UK. The film contains a number of satirical elements but deals with what is ultimately a very serious issue.
Knife crime is currently at its highest ever recorded level in the UK. One way to combat this is to support people from disadvantaged backgrounds and to bring a positive influence into their lives. One such charity that does this is XLP.
If you feel passionate about this cause, you can donate to them by visiting: xlp.org.uk
